What a fantastic 1st half of the 16/17 season!
The 2016/17 season saw 34 teams entered into BUCS across 14 different sports. With the success of last year’s BUCS performance motivating our teams I can happily state that nearly half of our teams are in the top 3 of their respective leagues. Currently we have seven teams standing top of their league, with five teams in 2nd place and four teams in 3rd place.
This success along with everyone’s success in both the league and cup means Edge Hill has 252.5 Points sitting very nicely in 82nd place within the overall BUCS points. A truly fantastic achievement… Bravo.
It should be noted that Rugby League and Men’s Football (2nd team) stand undefeated so far and a huge congratulation to all those involved, I’m sure it’s a fantastic feeling being top of the tree for the Christmas break.
Success often doesn’t come in the form of win and loss rates, we have seen an increase in teams from clubs such as Basketball & Rugby union meaning more students are given the chance to compete within BUCS, which means more students have the opportunity to achieve both on game day and throughout their University
experience.
With this momentum I have no doubt that every club in Team Edge Hill will hit the ground running after the Christmas break.
